We understand every patient is unique, which is why we always make sure to adapt to your needs. Regardless of your visual clarity or the eye condition that may be affecting you, our suite of reliable technology helps make it possible for us to cater to your unique eyes.
We place a strong emphasis on early detection with routine eye exams and eye disease management. Our goal is to help prevent and manage problems before they become bigger issues.
Our Technology
We’re proud to use modern eye care technology at each of our locations. These devices help us provide precise and personalized care for our patients:
- Optos imaging technology: This diagnostic imaging tool is used to capture a high-resolution image of the retina.
- Visual field testing technology: This device is used during an eye exam to measure your range of vision.
- Autorefractors: These devices measure refractive errors to determine prescriptions for glasses or contact lenses.
- Optical coherence tomography (OCT) devices: This noninvasive imaging tool uses light waves to take detailed, cross-section images of the retina.
Common Eye Diseases
Our team of experienced optometrists are well equipped to diagnose, treat, and manage many different eye conditions and diseases.
It’s important to us that every patient receives the quality eye care they deserve. From our suite of diagnostic tools right down to our modern treatment methods, we use everything we can to help protect and preserve your vision.
Some of the conditions that we help manage include glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and retinal detachment.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can damage the optic nerve, causing vision loss and blindness. Early detection through an eye exam and early treatment can help slow its progression and protect your vision.
Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
AMD occurs when aging causes changes and damage to your macula, the part of the eye responsible for central vision. AMD can lead to central vision loss and comes in 2 forms. Dry AMD is a condition that typically progresses gradually, while wet AMD can cause vision loss much faster.
Cataracts
A cataract is a cloudy spot in the lens of the eye. As the lens continues to break down, you may notice blurred vision, double vision, and reduced night vision. The only way to remove a cataract is through surgery, but there may be other options for helping you see clearly during the early stages of a cataract.
We can help you determine the right choice for cataracts and provide guidance for cataract surgery.
Diabetic Eye Disease
Diabetic eye disease is a group of eye conditions that affect people living with diabetes, including diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, cataracts, and glaucoma.
It’s important for people with diabetes to have regular eye exams to catch any of these conditions early and get started with preventive treatment.
Retinal Detachment
Retinal detachment happens when your retina is displaced from its original position in the eye. This is considered an eye emergency and you should seek care immediately if you notice an increase in floaters, light flashes, and vision shadows.
